So because I slacked off yesterday I did two slips today. Yesterday's cheeseburger and today was balloons.
For the cheeseburger I decided to use one of my tiny canvases (5x7in) and acrylic paint. I thought about what I should make the cheeseburger look like and I decided it would be sweet to make it a Krabby Patty. For those of you who do not know the wonders of the Krabby Patty I bestow upon you
this. I realize that my painting does not have visible cheese, and that is because the reference picture I used did not have visible cheese. Fear not however, there is cheese. I really had a great time painting this, it was a lot of fun.
Now to the balloons. This project was so fun fun fun to do. I decided to use old deflated foil balloons from my birthday last year to make mini balloons. I found a good size peice of cardboard and cut it to the size I wanted, about 12x18in. I covered it in a lime green tissue paper-like "fabric". It's basically the same kind of thing as dryer sheets are made of. I then compacted tissue paper into circles and stuffed the backs with plain paper to give it a flat back and keep it in shape. I cut the foil balloons and wrapped the circles in them, giving them a little "tail". Then I tied ribbons to them and used double sided tape to attach the balloons to the "canvas" so to speak. I twisted the ribbon down and secured it in the back of the piece. I am really happy with how it turned out and the photos just do NOT do it justice. I will try to take better ones in better light when I get the time.
Last but not least, as promised, here are the (not the best quality because my room is pretty dark and they either got washed out or were a tad blurry) photos of this past week's projects:
The Idea Can

Crazy Design

Abstract Ishkaboo

Song- "You Don't Know Me"

Krabby Patty

Balloons

So there it is! The pictures really don't do much justice, but my room is terrible for lighting at the moment and I just wanted to get them up. I have reason to believe someone had their mitts on "Abstract Ishkaboo" because I see weird spots on it so, ignore them please. Eventually I will try to get pictures that are truer to how the pieces look in real life.
As always thanks for looking!
